Safety4Sea is a non-profit organisation launched in 2010 that aims to promote safer, greener and smarter shipping by highlighting the latest developments in the shipping industry. The award recognises organisations or associations that have significantly contributed to initiatives that facilitate safer and more sustainable shipping.
The Mission to Seafarers has been nominated in recognition of its newly developed WeCare programme, sponsored by the UK P&I club in celebration of its 150th anniversary.
The WeCare programme is split into two different segments and offers seafarers advice and guidance in social media management and financial literacy. You can find out more about it here.
We are hugely appreciative of the opportunity to be part of these awards, which Safety4Sea are holding for the fourth consecutive year. The awards ceremony will take place on the evening of 1st October, in Athens. Winners are decided by public vote and individuals have until 6th of September 2019 to cast their vote.
To cast your vote, please visit: https://events.safety4sea.com/2019-safety4sea-awards/ and scroll down till you reach the Safety4Sea Initiative Award.
