Corporate Support

At Work

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) aims to ensure that companies conduct their business in a way that is ethical. This means taking account of their social, economic and environmental impact, and consideration of human rights.

For the global maritime sector committing to CSR can bring benefits such as:

  • Improved public image
  • Increased brand awareness and recognition
  • Great employee retention
  • Competitive advantage

The Mission to Seafarers can, through tailored partnerships, help you deliver and illustrate your CSR commitment to issues such as;

  • global citizenship
  • health and wellbeing
  • social and economic responsibility
  • diversity, equality and inclusion
  • investing in the maritime community in which you operate
  • community engagement
  • supply chain and sourcing responsibilities

There are a number of key projects and services for which the Mission is seeking funding and support, including:

  • new welfare provision projects
  • access to justice
  • mental health and isolation issues

Our corporate partnerships team has a proven track record in partnership delivery and management, working with large and small businesses to build bespoke partnerships that deliver real business benefits.

Whether you are looking for a long-term strategic relationship, employee engagement, cause-related marketing or sponsorship of events, the Mission team can offer a solution to meet your needs.

Employee engagement

We can:

  • devise bespoke events that connect your employees across teams and locations
  • offer meaningful volunteering opportunities
  • create teambuilding events that enhance employee retention
  • strengthen your business brand
Sponsorship

The following are areas in which we need sponsorship:

  • Events – we operate a range of events that your company can sponsor
  • Minibuses – this could be buying a new minibus, or sponsoring the running costs of existing ones
  • Running costs of our centres
  • Chaplaincy / Ship Visitors – this can be sponsored per port
  • Training – this will ensure our front-line staff have the most relevant and up-to-date training
