The event also provided an opportunity to celebrate and honour its founder, Sammy Ofer’s life, legacy, and significant contributions to the maritime sector.
The Mission is proud to be part of the special EPS community that has come together to create this amazing fundraiser in support of seafarers. Participants across the globe joined in by walking, running and cycling various distances on land and on ships at sea. It was a truly collaborative effort and many maritime companies came forward with generous donations.
Both the monetary and distance targets were surpassed, and the final recorded distance was enough to go round the world 5.4 times!
The exceptional amount raised will allow the Mission to deliver genuine impact and sustainability in the delivery of future welfare services. We are hugely grateful to EPS and those who donated to this initiative – all of whom have been acknowledged below.
