My dad Allan fondly remembered his time at sea in the late 1950’s/early 60’s, especially on the Clan Line operating out of Glasgow. He regaled us with many happy tales. My mum and my sisters and brother were very lucky to be taken on board for journeys, often sleeping in the pilots berth. He died recently aged 92 in Corby, Northants and he asked for the collection at his funeral to be sent to The Mission to Seafarers. |
