Posidonia Tour 2026

Cycle for Seafarers at Posidonia 2026

The Mission to Seafarers is proud to be a chosen charity for the Posidonia Tour 2026 cycling event, the official cycling event of the Posidonia International Shipping Exhibition.

On Saturday 30th May 2026, cyclists will take on a stunning 68km coastal route from Athens to Cape Sounio, raising vital funds for our new seafarer services in Piraeus and our work supporting seafarers and their families worldwide.

The Posidonia Tour brings together the maritime community for a day of challenge, camaraderie, and fundraising. Starting from the iconic Syntagma Square in the heart of Athens, riders will navigate the breathtaking Athenian Riviera coastline, with approximately 600 metres of elevation gain, before finishing beneath the ancient Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounio.

Whether you’re an experienced cyclist or looking for a rewarding physical challenge, this event offers an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of seafarers whilst connecting with colleagues and industry peers from across the global shipping community.

The event is committed to sustainability, with zero single-use plastic across all race operations, and combines sport with meaningful social impact.

Supporting Seafarers Worldwide

Funds raised through the Posidonia Tour will support the expansion of our seafarer services in Piraeus, one of Europe’s busiest ports, as well as our global welfare work in over 200 ports worldwide. From mental health support to emergency assistance, your participation helps ensure that seafarers have access to the care and support they need, particularly those spending extended periods away from home and family.
