The Mission to Seafarers is committed to listening to seafarers and to their families.
That’s why we have set up two wellbeing programmes that provide a bespoke welfare service for crews and their families.
WeCare Training Programmes:
- social communication – training in responsible use of social media, texting and emails
- financial literacy – training in how to manage finances including budgeting, loans, savings and pensions
These two WeCare programmes are sponsored by the UK P&I Club and is available free of charge to its members during 2019 and 2020 as part of its 150th Anniversary. For all other companies there will be a modest charge.
Continuity of SeaCare aims to:
- improve crew mental health and wellbeing
- help seafarers and their families with any problems and concerns – such as financial, health and relationship issues.
This is an independent and confidential service, which is available to companies who wish for a bespoke service for their seafarers and families.
If you are interested in learning more about these services, please get in touch and we will prepare a specific proposal to meet your needs.
We know that the mental and physical welfare of seafarers and their families is of paramount importance. There is a range of ways your company can get involved.
