It has been another month of intense work with ship visiting, seafarers visiting the Centre and requesting assistance in general.
It was indeed a joy to extend Pastoral services and exercise care over a few who requested prayers while visiting the Centre.
The Mts team also extended support to the families of seven local fishermen who were arrested after having entered Maldivian waters. The families who were visiting the City of Colombo needed assistance to be connected with relevant authorities who arranged for their repatriation back home.
The Mts Centre in Colombo was delighted to welcome crew from the following vessels who have called over at the Centre.

Many of the above mentioned on more than one instance in this month.
Gathering at the Centre and seeing how Seafarers avail themselves of the facilities that are on offer motivates the ship visitor team to encourage more and more Seafarers to visit the Centre and spend time at “Home away from Home”
With the adverse weather conditions becoming active in the form of the monsoon rains work was dampened and somewhat hampered to some extent. Yet to those who braved the rain and took the ride of offer in the Mts free transport shuttle theirs was certainly an experience to remember.
The activity for the month at a glance would look like this:
Ship Visits 168
Seafarers at the Centre 198
Pick up and Drop 198
Request for Prayer 3
