At this present time, we are unable to accept knitting at IHQ London or elsewhere as many of our centres are closed due to COVID-19. We look forward to receiving your parcels once things return to normal.
You can help seafarers all over the world by joining our amazing group of knitters!

Please note, we are no longer accepting knitting at our IHQ in London. The destination for all knitting has permanently changed to our centre in South Shields, where they will be distributed to appropriate ports once received. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are unable to go into the centre to process the knitting parcels received. We ask that all knitting ready to be dispatched is delayed until the lockdown is lifted. It is at this point that we will resume the handling of your lovely knitting and start going through the backlog. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience on this matter.

The knitted items we receive help seafarers arriving in the UK and around the world during the long, cold days and nights spent on the open seas. From woolly hats to fingerless mittens, each knitted item finds a home and the seafarers they’re matched to are extremely grateful for the extra warmth!

If you would like to become a Mission to Seafarers Knitter, please send your handiwork (once the South Shields centre begins accepting them again), plus a note to let us know your name and address, to:
