Part-time Centre Manager

The Mission to Seafarers seeks an experienced Part-time Centre Manager to join our team in South Tees. Working with the Chaplain Team Lead, you’ll respond to the individual and collective needs of seafarers by providing a range of welfare services that promote social, physical, spiritual and mental well-being, while being responsible for the effective running of our Centre.

The Part-time Centre Manager will welcome visiting seafarers, manage Centre-based welfare services, oversee retail operations, and provide oversight and leadership to a team of volunteers. You’ll work in collaboration with colleagues from other maritime missions, particularly Stella Maris, and undertake occasional ship visiting as part of developing an effective ship-visiting programme for South Tees.

This part-time role offers 24 hours per week worked flexibly to accommodate shipping schedules, including weekends and evenings. The position is based at our Centre in partnership with Stella Maris at South Tees, part of Teesport – the UK’s sixth largest port.
