Frank was a pleasant, affable, approachable and independent man with such a positive outlook on life. He loved his boats and ships. Not only did he devote his working life to them, starting at Manchester Liners at the age of 15, but he also spent much of his spare time cruising the world aboard everything from canal and tugboats to ocean liners and cruise ships. He was a dedicated member of the Manchester Branch of the Ship Society and The Mission to Seafarers was a charity close to his heart. We will miss him deeply and cherish the great memories we hold of days out walking and sailing with him, especially on Windermere, the Steam Packet boat to the Isle of Man and on the Waverley down the Clyde. We’ll be reunited with you once again in the future Frank, but in the meantime we’ll be thinking of you continuing your cruises and sailing the open seas on that big ship in the sky. Once again, Bon Voyage Frank. |
