Do you have what it takes to complete the Water Challenge 2019?
Make a splash this September by completing any Water-themed Challenge in aid of The Mission to Seafarers.
The world’s seafarers are a forgotten workforce, but they transport up to 95% of the goods we have in this country. That’s why we’re asking intrepid adventurers to complete sponsored swims, walks, sails, punts or wades in or around water to raise awareness of the hardships faced by seafarers, who often won’t be able to see their families for 9 months at a time.
Water Challenge 2019 is open to everyone and work teams, friends and individuals are all welcome to take part in the weeks leading up to and after World maritime day, on the 26th September.
Your challenge could be as simple as completing a set distance on an indoor rowing machine, a sponsored swim in your local pool, kayaking a local river or running a distance down a local body of water near you.
For those looking for a more adventurous time, why not join up with colleagues or friends to complete a long-distance row, swim or sail?
To fundraise all you need to do is set up a just giving page (we can help with this) and ask family, friends and work colleagues to sponsor you.

You’ll be helping us to continue to provide vital welfare services to the thousands of seafarers we see every year, through practical help in a crisis’, to emotional support when times are hard.
