We are looking for a talented individual to play an active part in delivering our digital marketing and communications strategy and to deliver an exciting social media strategy reaching key stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic self-starter who has experience in writing inspiring and clear copy as well as editing, lay-out, design and distribution. As a confident communicator, you will work with the Communications Manager to create content suitable for the Mission’s website maximising the Mission’s on-line presence.
You will act as the digital media liaison developing, coordinating and updating our various online and social networking sites. You will also work to develop digital fundraising campaigns and coordinate our monthly e-newsletters.
The Mission to Seafarers is an international Christian maritime charity. It has become one of the largest port-based welfare operators in the world working in over 200 ports in 50 countries. Our frontline staff visit ships, offer hospitality, drive minibuses and engage a range of other welfare activity. Seafarers spend up to nine months away from home and the Mission offers a friendly face and a helping hand to those in port. We help seafarers who are stranded or abandoned, assist with justice cases and support their families.
The Digital Communications Officer role is based in London, near Cannon Street Station and offers flexible working, generous pension, and 25 days holiday a year.
