Our 161st Annual Service will be held at St Michael Paternoster Royal, London, the home church of The Mission to Seafarers, on Wednesday, 5 July at 12 noon to celebrate Sea Sunday, which falls on the following weekend.   On this occasion of reflection and thanksgiving, we are honoured that The Right Revd Paul Ferguson, Bishop of Whitby, has graciously agreed to be with us.  Bishop Paul sits on our South Tees Committee and has a deep understanding of the Mission’s work.

This is the time of year when, traditionally, we especially show our gratitude to merchant seafarers and remember the hardships and challenges that they face as they work to deliver over 90 percent of the goods we use on a daily basis.

Following the Service, there will be a buffet reception in the Whittington Hall.  After this there will be a Questions and Answers Panel available from 2 pm to 3 pm to update supporters about the work of the Mission.

Invitations are being sent to our many supporters but we regret numbers have to be limited to some extent because of church capacity and catering for the reception after the service.  However, if you would like your name to be placed on a waiting list on a first come first served basis, please contact:

Tessa Perfect, Virger to St Michael Paternoster Royal, at tessa.perfect@missiontoseafarers.org or telephone our International Headquarters on 020 7248 5202 no later than Friday, 9 June 2017.
