We are currently seeking to fill two broad-ranging and challenging roles, offering an exciting opportunity to be part of the Mission’s important work in Rotterdam.
The Chaplain / Chaplaincy Worker will partner with the Chaplaincy Team Leader to deliver the strategy for the effective provision of MtS’s services across the port in Rotterdam. This will include ship visiting, providing chaplaincy and pastoral support, resolving seafarers’ justice and welfare issues, supervising volunteers, and partnering with other port chaplains, welfare workers and seafarer centres locally to ensure ministry continuity.
The Chaplaincy Team Leader will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy for effectively providing MtS’s services across the port of Rotterdam. This will include an impactful ship visiting programme, the provision of pastoral and advocacy support, leading the development of MtS’s seafarer centres in Rotterdam and providing leadership to both MtS staff and volunteers. The Team Leader will also identify opportunities to collaborate with partner organisations at the port and in the wider community and will represent MtS in the area.
The Mission is an Anglican Mission. These posts are open to Christians of all denominations who possess a strong Christian faith. Candidates should have empathy with MtS’s Anglican roots, be willing to work closely with Anglican churches and have a genuine passion for the aims and purpose of the Mission.
