Travel to Tanzania and trek up Africa’s highest mountain, a mere 5,895 metres above sea level! Experience the richness of the local flora and fauna, and reach the summit to take in some of the most stunning views on the planet.

You'll trek through dense forest, over rocky terrain and up to ice glaciers to discover the three volcanic centres of Kilimanjaro, as well as having the chance to experience the local culture. And at the same time you'll be helping to raise much needed funds for The Mission to Seafarers.

Itinerary 

Day 1: Fly London to Kilimanjaro airport

Day 2: Transfer to Arusha

Day 3: Begin trekking the Machame route first climb to 3100m

Day 4: Ascend through forest on the Shira Plateau camp at 3840m

Day 5: Pass underneath the Lava Tower and Western Breach (acclimatisation time)

Day 6: Trek the Great Barranco ravine towards Karanga Valley

Day 7: Ascend towards summit glaciers, sun rise at Stella Point before final push to Uhuru peak at 5895m!!

Day 8: Gentle trek back down to rain forest and Mweka - receive certificate of ascent!

Day 9: Time to explore, transfer to airport for flight home

Day 10: Flight to London
