Ian Pole was commissioned on Sunday 14 November 2007 by the Right Reverend Garry Weatherill, Bishop of Willochra.
Ian has recently retired after almost thirty years of shift work at the Port Pirie Smelter and is pleased to join the small, but dedicated team of volunteers at the Port Pirie Station in serving seafarers.
In October he completed the necessary security requirements needed to visit seafarers on ships in Port and looks forward to visiting as many ships as possible.
