The Seamen's Church Institute(SCI) of Philadelphia is an international seafarers mission serving the human needs of all seafarers in the ports along the Delaware River in Pennsylvania and New Jersey since 1843. SCI is located in the historic section of Philadelphia, close to Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. We provide practical cross-cultural and spiritual assistance to seafarers: including land transport, international telecommunications, social and recreational programs and work related and pastoral counseling.
